There comes a time in every girls life…

I have been writing my entire life. Basically, as soon as I could hold a pencil in my hand and scribble some nonsense on a piece of paper, I was writing. Of course, as time went on and I learned the alphabet and grammar and so on I became better. Now I am attending college with a major in English with the hope that one day I will be a published novelist. I am currently enrolled in a fiction writing class, which I adore! How could I not when it is what I am striving towards and pretty much paying all this money to be educated on the subject?

This is not my first blog experience, but I figured I needed a change of scenery. I literally shut down my first one minutes ago. I couldn’t stay away however, and figured that I still needed a place to throw my ideas out into the open. I am considering keeping everything here anonymous. It may change if I tell a few close friends.

One of my uncles is getting married on Saturday. I have a little black dress to wear, and shoes I purchased months ago for the sole reason that, “I just had to have them.” This will be the first time I actually wear said shoes. I am looking forward to seeing my grandparents especially. They live far away and we don’t get to see each other very often. I am afraid since their son is getting married I will not be able to just sit and talk with them as much as I’d like, but it is more than nothing.

Life has been changing for me lately. I am afraid that I have a lot to do with it. Things I thought I wanted two months ago even have shifted. (It’s like the couples on one of the soap operas I watch from time to time. I swear they switch partners every few months! It is daytime television I suppose; that’s what you get!) For instance, in my life right now I am better off single. I realized that having a boyfriend in your life doesn’t make things better, in my case it added stress to my life. I am officially turning over a new leaf. Things will be different from now on. So here goes…
